Each year the Maxey PTO holds a fund raiser called "The Max." The Parent Teacher Organization, (PTO), holds the fund raiser utilizing live and silent auctions, donations, raffles, and sales insuring a huge success. The funds are used for anything that will benefit the school, teachers, and students. Last year a large mobil computer lab was purchased for the students. Businesses, people, and organizations are very generous in their donations of items to be auctioned. As well, Westgate Bank donates a room for the fund raiser, and the Maxey parents, teachers, PTO, and students cannot thank the sponsors and donors enough. Everyone from the principal, Pat Decker, the assistant principal, Suzanne Riemers, all of the teachers, the parents and students pull together to make "The Max" enjoyable, profitable, and worthwhile. This year's "MC" was Ken Schmick of KOLN-KGIN Channel 10. He did an outstanding job along with his wife Deb Collins of the Nebraska State Patrol. The dinner was donated by Pegler-Sysco and Greg and Kari Munger. They cannot be thanked enough.

Above. Jon and Cindy Dalton. Two of the many volunteers that helped to insure The Max was a success. Jon is an engineer with Davis Design, who was the architecture firm for the beautiful Westgate Bank building. Both Jon and Cindy, (like many of us), are avid fans of the Ohio Bobcats and follow the success of the program.

Greg and Kari Munger were gracious to provide the meal. Greg is a V.P. with Pegler-Sysco. Greg also coaches soccer, football, basketball and baseball. Kearney State alum.
